Our vineyards

We are constantly captivated by the extraordinary potential of our Sorbara vineyards. Their unique character is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, leading us to venture into uncharted territory. It became clear that the Metodo Classico was the key to expressing this variety in a completely original way—liberated from constraints and traditional preconceptions.

Winemaking

Long before the Sorbara DOC was established, our great-grandfather vinified each parcel separately, identifying the specific vats that yielded the most expressive wines. Recognizing the value of these unique sites—some spanning only a few hectares outside the official boundaries—our ancestors committed to preserving the finest clones. This led to a decades-long massal selection project dedicated to safeguarding ancient, low-yielding vines that capture the true nobility and elegance of this historic native variety.

Land

The Sozzigalli Estate stands as the ultimate expression of this heritage. Here, the sandy-loam soils—naturally well-drained in spring yet resilient during dry months—create the cool microclimate essential for Sorbara. In this terroir, the grapes develop a singular aromatic finesse and savory depth, nurtured by viticulture that respects both soil identity and clonal precision. It is the perfect stage for the Metodo Classico, allowing Sorbara to reveal unprecedented nuances and a remarkable capacity for aging.
